Owner Sheila Tymon is a beloved pillar of the Morrisville community -- a teacher and community leader. Her fullness of spirit is everywhere felt in this beautiful house, even as she makes it a point to provide her guests with as much privacy and tranquility as possible.
During our visit we were looking for a home, and Sheila took it upon herself to make a number of phone calls for us and establish some inside-connections that ultimately led to a far more successful house-hunting expedition than we'd expected. Her generosity is sincere and is a light for everyone around her.
Sheila prepared phenomenal, original breakfasts, often with a side of honey harvested from her bees. On one morning, when we had to depart at a brutal 6am, we arrived downstairs to find the table set and breakfast laid out for us.
The house itself is finely aged and remarkably cozy: the bedrooms you'll never want to leave, and the bathroom is among the most luxurious (and enviable) we've encountered.
We have stayed in dozens of B&B's, and this one was far and away our favorite.
My first visit to Thistledown Inn was in the fall. The experience was so wonderful that I returned 5 months later with friends for a weekend at the Inn. Thistledown is charming, spacious, and inviting.
Sheila the Innkeeper creates magical memories to all who graces her inn.
She elegantly inspired an awareness of environmental conservation without loosing the feeling of comfort, and her breakfast is nothing short of amazing!
I also love that Sheila is truly dedication to her community. She is truly a person to who gives from the heart.
When my visit comes to an end, I immediately begin to anticipate my next trip to Thistledown.

Our weekend stay at Thistledown could not have been more enjoyable. The Inn was so very beautiful and comfortable and our room was a dream. Doors from our room opened directly onto the front porch, with rocking chairs for us to enjoy a cup of tea in the morning and relax at the end of the day.
Sharon, the manager, met us upon arrival and was there throughout our stay to make sure every little thing was just perfect. The included Breakfast each morning was just delicious and so beautifully presented. The Inn is environmentally friendly and uses healthy, organic and locally grown/made products. We will most definitely be returning to Thistledown Inn B&B in the future.

Dear Sheila (and Gigi),
Thank you for such a restful peaceful weekend away from the city. The energy, love, and light in this house is truly magical and one of a kind. We loved the cozy fireplace, your DELICIOUS breakfasts, thoughtful cheese platter (and a special Heady for Gino) as well as quality time with the game in the study. You are a special person with a warm heart. This was a perfect place to celebrate Gino’s birthday and our appreciation for the simple pleasures life has to offer.

Lovely, Charming delightful B&B. Tastefully decorated beautiful 19th century home. Delicious organic breakfasts and 2 lovely women who were so friendly and helpful. I bought several items from the little boutique and we really felt very welcomed and at home during our entire stay. When it was time to leave I felt like I was saying goodbye to family. We will surely book again. This B&B did not have a bar but wine and brandy and assorted beers were available for the taking. Cheese and crackers welcomed us in. There is TV in the rooms and a shared mini fridge was available.

I recently took a buisness trip from AZ to Thistledown Inn. I absolutely loved every minute I was there! There is so much history in this home. The breakfast was superb! The Innkeepers were so warm and loving! I can't say enough how accommodating and caring they were to me! I will never forget my stay here!

Another wonderful night and fabulous breakfast! We got engaged here four years ago and it always holds a special place in our hearts. The poem on the wall was a reading at our wedding. Thank you.
